Dear Prayer
Partners,
Greetings dear
friends in the Name of our Lord and Savior, we pray that you
are well. It is probably cool where most of you reside, but
we are having temperatures in the 90’s now. It is nice and
toasty especially in the afternoons. The winds blow
scattering dust and smoke because many people are burning
there fields in preparation for the rainy season.
We find ourselves
in the midst of preparing for a volunteer team from
South Carolina.
We are coming to do some work in the community, prayer walk
in Sedhiou, and visit a village. Please be in prayer for the
church,
Grace
Baptist
Church in
Florence,
SC and the four
faithful men who are coming to give a service to the
community and share their testimonies. We look forward to
what God is going to do during their time in
Senegal.
As you move through
the calendar you may notice the emphasis on man thinking he
is OK, but not in God’s sight. In this society that we are
living and working in many people think that they are on the
“right road”. There are five “pillars” in their faith that
they are to follow. The main thing is to say that God is one
and M is his prophet. Many think that if they do this they
have as much assurance as anyone can have. This matched
with their twisted view of what it means to follow Jesus,
makes it easy for many to have a pious view of themselves.
TV shows and news that come from the West do not help this
image. So as you pray, please remember the need that most
people have, is to realize their need for a savior.
Please remember the
village “B” as well as the radio broadcast on Wednesdays.
We have had good participation recently. A couple of weeks
ago we studied the Ten Commandments. We had a wonderful
discussion about what sin was, agreed that all commit sin,
and the price of sin, but no one is ready to step out.
Please remember this group and pray that God’s Word will
convict them of their sin.
We want you to know
how much you encourage our team. Pray is the foundation for
all that we do. We would like to ask you to consider
praying to seek God’s will for yourself and your home church
concerning a volunteer mission trip. The IMB focus is on
West Africa this year. We
are excited about the increased prayer support and
volunteers coming to serve our Lord wherever he calls. We
know that God is at work among the MNK. We pray that some
of you will be able come for a short term trip to minister
to the MNK.
Please don’t
hesitate to ask if there is anything that I can do to assist
you in praying for the MNK.
Your sister in
Christ,

As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without

delight. Psalm 119: 35
