Dear Prayer Partners,

Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ! I know that you are looking forward to summer. We are still in the dry season here, although the humidity is building. When the wind blows it carries lots of dust with it.

I have to tell you I never thought anyone would need to be “warned” about anything that I was a part of. This past month I was helping our youngest son, Patrick, research Senegal and the MNK on the web for a school report. One of the links on a site that we were on had a warning that the link was a Christian site trying to convert the MNK. This site was www.mandinkapeople.com. I hope you recognize this as the site developed by the MNK team. Wow! What times we live in today. Please check out this site and let me know if you find anything offensive. “If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own…” John 15:19.

We recently had the privilege of worshipping and fellowshipping with a volunteer team from Neosho, Missouri. We talked about asking God to send dreams and visions. This is very important, because so many people do not have access to independent information. They only receive the “party line”. They often listen through “filters” that tells them that information that is different is wrong. Let us pray that God will send dreams and visions to help take the MNK off the wide path.

On June 26 the prayer request is to pray that MNK women develop a reverent fear of God rather than fear Satan. Many people, especially women, live their lives based on fears of evil spirits. We have been told that in Is. it is believed that there is at least one evil spirit per woman which is “devoted” to harassing her. Women buy charms to protect their children. Others buy charms to help them get pregnant. Even the head wrap is to protect women from evil spirits. Men also wear charms, but not to the extent that women wear them. These are only a few of the unseen chains of the ruler of this world. Please lift up the workers among the MNK to live visibly victorious lives before the people, to point them to the One who is greater than the one in the world.

I hope that the use of initials in the prayer calendar is not too frustrating. The variety of MNK names is somewhat limited. If you would like to know more information I can share more in individual emails. Please don’t hesitate to ask if something is not clear. I am very humbled by this task. Thank you for answering God’s call to pray for the salvation of the MNK.

Praise our Heavenly Father for His desire that all mankind come to worship Him.

MNK women will understand that God desires worship from them.

MNK believers will realize their need to gather and worship corporately

God will pour out His Spirit upon the Southern Senegal and break down the strongholds of Satan that bind the MNK

God will send dreams to the religious leaders of the villages and they will know that Jesus is the Truth.

God will send dreams to the elders of the village who are “set in their ways” and cause them to know that Jesus is The Way.

God’s Spirit will prepare the hearts of those who hear His Word on the Sila Tilindingo.

God will send dreams and visions to the MNK men to free them from the bondage of Is.

God will pour out His Spirit on MNK women to cause them to realize they are precious in is sight.

God will give His Vision to the MNK believers to reach their brothers and sisters for Christ.

MNK men and women who have heard God’s Word will be convicted of their sin and repent.

The religious leaders will realize that they are men of unclean lips and repent.

MNK spiritual eyes to be opened to see the King of Glory.

Many young MNK will hear the Sila Tilindingo and realize their need for a Savior.

The village of S to realize their hopeless situation with Is and turn to the King of Kings.

Rejoice that MB proclaims that Jesus is the King.

SS a young MNK who is curious about God’s Word to understand he is undone without Jesus.

Many MNK men will be transformed and model the attributes of our Heavenly Father.

IF a new father to desire to know God’s Way though His Word.

The village “B” to open their hearts to God’s Word and turn from Is.

Many will choose to believe God’s Word is Truth as they listen to the Sila Tilindingo on the radio.

More volunteers to come to share God’s Word with the MNK.

MNK men to understand their responsibility to lead their children in the light rather than follow their ancestors in darkness.

MK a MNK believer will spend time in God’s Word and continue to mature.

June 25: Many MNK will understand the Goodness of God.

Many MNK women will develop are reverent fear of God, and not let a fear of Satan control them.

MS a MNK pastor to clearly proclaim the attributes of our Heavenly Father.

ZT, the radio manager, to be changed by God’s Word and walk in the Light.

The village “Bas.” will understand the Holiness of God and realize their need for a mediator.

Soon a MNK church will be proclaiming Jesus as the Light of the World throughout this land.
