Dear Prayer Partners,
Greetings from Sedhiou, we pray that you are having a good summer. We are in the rainy season now. We have had several good rains. The rains bring a pleasant relief from the high humidity. Many people have begun to get their fields ready for planting. Others find themselves trying to finish mud brick houses before the rains ruin them. Please join us in praying for rain for the crops, but protection from wind damage and disease that often accompany the rainy season.
We have received wonderful news from Richmond. Southern Baptists gave a record amount to the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering. The 2005 offering totaled- $137,939,677.59. Through your faithfulness in giving the IMB is able to send more missionaries throughout the world. Your giving enables us to have the resources to share the Gospel with those who have never heard God’s Truth. Thank you for your willingness to partner with us to bring the Gospel to the Mandinka and other lost people throughout the world.
Together we have been praying for God’s Word to change the lives of the MNK. We have had the opportunity to use the Jesus film in our area as a tool for Gospel sewing. Please help us to bathe this opportunity in pray to use this tool effectively. The opportunity to see a film draws many people, some just for curiosity, but we know that the Holy Spirit is able to use these opportunities to open the hearts and minds of our lost friends.
The Mandinka Team has a variety of requests for volunteers to come and share their hearts and talents with the MNK. We want to encourage you to pray and consider what God would have you do concerning these requests. Also please share them with your church family. We are also prayerfully seeking to have career and long term volunteer positions filled. Please pray that those whom God calls will seek to fill these requests.
As a family we want to thank you for your prayers. We purposely try to keep the emphasis on the Mandinka, but we know that as you lift the Mandinka in prayer you also faithfully pray for our family. We home school our children. This has been a long school year. Our oldest son, Alex should finish this coming week. We are blessed to have wonderful partners to work together in this task. Thank you.
Your sister in Christ,
