Dear Prayer Partners,
Dear Prayer Partners,
Be exalted, O LORD, in your
strength! We will sing and praise your power (Psalm
21:13, ESV).
Thank you for
beginning last month to pray for the medical team.
The people in the areas that they are going to
minister are very excited that they are coming. We are
excited that as they wait to be seen by medical
personnel, they will have the opportunity to hear
God’s Word. Please pray for spiritual and physical
healing as the team from FBC Jonesboro shares their
time and talents with the Mandinka people.
Thank you for praying
against those who wish to discredit the message of the
Gospel. Please pray that many will compare this
rhetoric with the Gospel-in- action as they see and
hear about the medical team.
We are praising God
that our team has received financial gifts toward our
radio broadcast of the Sila Tilindingo. We are
praying and searching for another station to contract
with to play the lessons. Please pray that we will
find the allotted station and that negotiations will
go well so that many new listeners will have access to
God’s Word.
Kimberly has begun a
new women’s group in Sedhiou. SB, who we ask you
to pray for in the calendar is assisting Kimberly with
the lessons. Pray for SB as Kimberly shares the
lessons with SB prior to the group lesson. Please pray
that SB as well as the group will be open to the
“nudging” of the Holy Spirit.
We have another
volunteer team coming near the end of May. A team from
FBC Liberty City, Texas will be coming. This is
Kimberly’s home church. Please pray for them as they
prepare to come. They will be prayer walking, sharing
Bible Stories, and testimonies. We praise God for this
encouragement for Kimberly.
Senegal
will have local elections later this month. Our
town has had the same mayor for many years. He is now
a minister, so Sedhiou will elect a new mayor. Please
pray that this transition will go well.
Your sister in Christ,
Scripture for May
May 01-03:
Be strong and
courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it
is the LORD your God who goes with you. He will
not leave you or forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6, ESV)."
May 04-10:
"The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has
anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has
sent me to proclaim liberty to the captives and
recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty
those who are oppressed, to proclaim the year of the
Lord's favor (Luke 4:18-19, ESV)."
May 11-17:
You shall remember that you were a slave in the land
of Egypt, and the LORD your God brought you out from
there with a mighty hand and an outstretched arm.
Therefore the LORD your God commanded you to keep the
Sabbath day (Deuteronomy 5:15, ESV).
May 18-24:
And he said to them, "Pay attention to what you hear:
with the measure you use, it will be measured to you,
and still more will be added to you (Mark 4:24, ESV).”
May 25-31:
The ear that listens to life-giving reproof will dwell
among the wise (Proverbs 15:31, ESV).
