Dear
Prayer Partners,
The Lord is my strength and my shield; in him my heart
trusts, and I am helped; my heart exults, and with my
song I give thanks to him. Psalm 28:7.
Greetings from Sedhiou! We are praising God for His
Goodness. Our team is growing. Kimberly arrived in
April. She handled the traveling irregularities such as
one piece of luggage arriving a week after she arrived
very well. We enjoyed the cool temperatures in Dakar
before heading down to toasty temperatures in Sedhiou.
Thank you for praying for Kimberly. She is eager to
learn language so that she can get to know the Mandinka
people. Thank you for faithfully praying for more
workers to share the Good News with the Mandinka people.
The
community of Sedhiou extends their gratitude for the
gift of the bleachers that were built by the volunteers
from Grace in conjunction with the soccer tournament.
The project was an act of love and good will that we
pray will cause many to seek to know more about the
family of God.
Please continue to pray for Richard as he continues to
follow up with the villages in the “Blue Jay” area and
BS. Please pray that these visits will become teaching
points.
Thank you for continuing to pray for our family. God has
blessed us with three sons. Our youngest, Patrick just
joined the ranks of teenagers. Daniel is continuing to
build friendships through soccer. Alex, our oldest, is
getting ready to take the SAT on Saturday, May 5. Please
pray for Alex as he takes this step toward college.
Thank you for joining us in this task to lift the
Mandinka to the Throne of Grace.
Scripture passages for May:
May 01-05: “So
faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word
of Christ.” Romans 10:17
May 06-12:
“Who shall ascend the hill of the LORD? And who shall
stand in his holy place?
He who has clean hands and a
pure heart, who does not lift up his soul to what is
false and does not swear deceitfully.” Psalm 24:3-4
May
13-19:
“For the palace is forsaken, the
populous city deserted; the hill and the watchtower will
become dens forever, a joy of wild donkeys, a pasture of
flocks; until the Spirit is poured upon us from on high,
and the wilderness becomes a fruitful field, and the
fruitful field is deemed a forest.” Isaiah
32:14-15
May 20-26:
“For
as the earth brings forth its sprouts, and as a garden
causes what is sown in it to sprout up, so the Lord GOD
will cause righteousness and praise to sprout up before
all the nations.” Is. 61:11
May 27-31: So we
can confidently say, “The Lord is my helper; I will not
fear; what can man do to me?” Heb 13:6
